heavy rotation: till the sun turns black

i'm unveiling a new feature today on the ol' blog. 'heavy rotation' will expound upon whatever album i just can't seem to get out of my head at the moment. i'll say a thing or two about the album, then highlight a particular track. this feature will be at the top of the blog, but i'll also copy it into post form to preserve it for posterity. enjoy--today's post is ray lamontagne's till the sun turns black.

i didn't know much about ray lamontagne when i bought this album. it's really good. he's a soulful singer-songwriter, but very unique. my fave track right now is 'lesson learned'. i swear it's straight out of a movie, from right around the end of act 2 when boy loses girl, but resolves to win her back no matter what it takes.
